your personal growth.

We, at Great Coaches, work with leaders in businesses and other organizations to improve their effectiveness and find fulfillment through their work. Since 2016, we have been working with individual leaders and leadership teams to help them gain greater clarity about the challenges and opportunities they face and help them create a path forward. We do this primarily through 1:1 coaching and organizational consulting.

Christina Swartz

Christina Swartz has been an independent consultant and coach for over 14 years, primarily helping leaders and leadership teams increase their personal and organizational effectiveness. As an ICF-Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Christina has coached in a wide variety of organizations in the Federal and local government sectors, the non-profit sector and for-profit companies.

As a leadership coach, Christina partners with her clients to uncover hidden potential, new ideas, personal strengths, and work to overcome challenges. Christina collaboratively works with clients to tap into their wisdom and create awareness around a particular subject or challenge. In addition to working with individuals, Christina also works with teams as a coach, facilitator and trainer.

Prior to becoming an independent consultant and coach, Christina had careers in education where she began as a teacher and later as the owner and director of a private school in Virginia. Before that, she worked in the airline industry where she held many leadership roles such as the Department Head of Customer Service for a major airline. Christina knows from experience the challenges that many leaders face and how lonely it can be at the top. She understands that growth and development are a process and can be even more effective with the support of a coach. Her experience as a business owner and overseeing managers at various levels and hundreds of union employees has prepared her well to work with leaders and emerging leaders in a variety of industries.

Christina is a graduate of the Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Certificate Program. Her formal education includes a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors from the University of Mary Washington and graduate study at Old Dominion and Shenandoah Universities.

Frank Ball

Frank works with leaders and leadership teams to build leadership capacity within their organizations. His experience tells him that leadership capacity is among the scarcest resources in most organizations today. The job of leaders has never been more difficult, nor has the pressure that they produce superior results in a healthy, sustainable way been higher.

Frank specializes in working with leaders in new organizations or those re-tooling themselves to meet new challenges. Though he does this work primarily through 1:1 Executive Coaching, he also provides Organization Development Consulting.

Frank received his bachelors degree from Davidson College, a masters degree from The George Washington University, and two graduate certificates from Georgetown University. In addition to his independent consulting and coaching practice, he was an adjunct faculty member in Georgetown University's Institute for Transformational Leadership for twenty years.
